Kandyan Art Association & Cultural Center
That evening I attended a show at the Kandyan Art Association & Culture Centre. Featured were traditional drummers, dancers in various costumes, vibrant bird & cobra masked dances, walking over hot coals, and fire eating.
The next day I went and saw a few artisans at work, weaving fibers from a sort of yucca plant, another decorating wood sticks with lac, and another doing metal repoussé.
