This morning, I took another walk to the nearby Bongwonsa Temple, located on the Ansan mountain I correctly predicted that the azaleas would finally be in their glory, casting the temple grounds in a whole new makeover. Although the building at the top of the stairs was nothing special, I loved the plant life enveloping the sides of the stairs - from bamboo, azaleas, perhaps rhododendron - all vying for attention in this steep area.
Simple, but effective landscaping at a home/building of the monks.
Top part of a Toltop, so confident against the soon-to-fade blossoms
Taller toltops, incorporating small and medium stones.
